Deleting an Open edX account

Unfortunately at this point in time, there is no way on the front end to properly delete a user's account. The best way to have an account removed is to send an email to support@appsembler.com with the username and/or email address of the user(s) you would like to be removed from the system.

It's a quick change for us to make on our end, so it shouldn't be something you ever have to wait a long time for us to process. Appsembler will only honor account removal requests from known contacts at client organizations.

Please ensure that the account is unenrolled from any courses before they are deactivated in order to prevent the user from appearing on enrollment reports and Insights.

GDPR-Related Requests

Due to the introduction of GDPR, we have introduced manual processes intended to facilitate the deletion and retrieval of personal data from our customer websites until we are able to complete upgrades to the Hawthorn version of the platform that enables these features programmatically. If you receive a GDPR-related request, simply pass it on to support@appsembler.com and we will action the request within 30 days.
