Preventing Google from indexing your Tahoe site

By default, each LMS operating on Tahoe is indexed by Google so when someone searches for your learning platform, they will be able to find it. If you do not want this and would prefer to remain hidden from Google, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Tahoe Management Console 
  2. Click on General settings general settings is found in the left nav bar, below the LMS Header and Footer settings
  3. Scroll down to Search engine indexing and uncheck the button next to Allow search engine indexing The search engine indexing section is the fifth section on the General Settings page
  4. You have now disallowed search engines from indexing your site. Click Save changes. The Save Changes button is located at the bottom of the page
